July 3, 2007: Detective Hamm and Detective Wall taught a Gang Awareness Information class to members of the Balitmore Guardian Angels. The Angels would like to thank Detectives Hamm and Walll for the valuable information and insight they provided during this class, which covered topics such as:
- How to identify gangs
- What classifies as a gang
- Where gangs are locating and recruiting
- How to talk to your children about gangs
- The relationship between gangs and the increase in criminal activity
The detectives stressed that awareness and education are the keys to help manage and resolve these problems. The Guardian Angels would like to thank them for taking the time to help train us, and we hope this training will lead to positive results on the streets of Balitmore City.
April 28, 2007: Reisterstown Square Apartments held their first "meet and greet" to help the residents get to know each other. The Guardian Angels (who have an office in the complex) were also on hand, and will soon be implementing programs within the complex for internal residents.
While a fantastic time was had by all, the most important thing is that area residents came together to help make a difference in their community. Instead of feeling alone, those who attended were reminded of the support network they have behind them in their effort. The Baltimore Guardian Angels are proud to be a part of that effort.
The Angels would like to thank Trish and the rest of the management team for allowing us to participate.

With events like these, the Reisterstown Square management is trying to build community relations within the complex. They are also working with both the Police department and the Guardian Angels to increase safety and quality of life with events and activities that can bridge the gap of community involvement.
April 3, 2007: Chapter Commander Strider meets Gov. Martin O'Mally at Mayor Sheila Dixon's first Baltimore City in Annapolis ceremony.
